R&D sustainable Process Trainee

Internship: Modelling of Plant Processes Using SuperPro Design and sustainable design using Life cycle analysis

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented student for a 3-6-month internship focused on modelizing plant processes using the SuperPro Design tool.

The intern will work on applying the SuperPro modelization tool to the Aalst plant with the following goals:

1. Obtain a robust and accurate mass balance and energy balance.

2. Determine the water, chemicals, and energy consumption based on the mass and energy balance.

3. Link the obtained data to CO2 emissions by retrieving LCA foreground data

Your main responsibilities:

• Utilize the SuperPro Design tool to model plant processes.

• Utilize Life cycle assessment software to assess impact of modelled data

• Analyze and interpret data to ensure accuracy and reliability.

• Collaborate with various departments to gather necessary information.

• Prepare detailed reports on findings and progress.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a relevant engineering or science program either bachelor or master

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Familiarity with process modelling tools, preferably SuperPro Design or other tools

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

• Interest in environmental impacts
